Production Manager

The Production Manager provides oversight and technical support to ministries and staff for all events and services at Citizens Church as we carry out the mission to Enjoy God, Love People, and Make Disciples. Additionally, the Production Manager will provide front of house AVL leadership for all services and events. This will include managing staff and volunteers, planning, AVL equipment, and partnering with ministries to pursue excellence while ensuring that this ministry glorifies God and not man.

Job Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning
  • Leads the church in pursuing excellence by understanding the purpose of production
  • Partners with ministry leaders to enable ministry through production
  • Creates and manages the production budget
Tactical Execution - Weekend Services
  • Creates and communicates technical flow of service
  • Attends and prepares for weekly production meetings
  • Leads pre-service briefings for main and kids services
  • Schedules production volunteers for main and kids services
  • Maintains Planning Center
  • Oversees all technical elements
  • Oversees volunteers
  • Troubleshoots any technical difficulties that might occur during service
  • Prepares volunteer stations before their arrival
  • Ensures content is edited and prepared for distribution
Tactical Execution - Events
  • Works with minister / event coordinator to plan production needs
  • Creates site survey if needed
  • Procures production quotes if needed
  • Ensures rental details are in order
  • Sets up technical equipment and elements
  • Oversees and direct volunteers
  • Troubleshoots issues as they arise
  • Ensures content is edited and prepared for distribution
People Development
  • Displays a Christ-like love for people
  • Leads others to worship in spirit and truth
  • Engages, trains, and disciples volunteers
  • Evaluates progress and performance of staff and volunteers
  • Recruits new volunteers
Administration
  • Performs regular system diagnostics and maintenance
  • Maintains and replaces AVL equipment
  • Cleans and organizes stage and work areas
  • Installs new systems and equipment
  • Maintains production calendar and events
  • Processes production requests

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Audio production certification (live sound and production/post) preferred
  • Advanced: Live sound engineering
  • Advanced: Digital audio consoles
  • Advanced: DAWs (e.g. Pro Tools, Reason, Logic)
  • Proficient: Pro Presenter
  • Proficient: Digital lighting consoles
  • Basic: Soldering and cable assembling
  • Working Knowledge: Set Design
