Sermon

A Gentle Presence

August 2, 2020

Key Text: Colossians 3:19 – 21

Summary: Husbands are to love their wives and not be harsh with them. Children are to obey their parents. Fathers are not to provoke their children. Both of the “do not” commands in this week’s passage are given to men, and in doing so, Paul stresses the importance of a man’s influence on his family. He is to love his family in a way that reflects the heart of God. God expects husbands and fathers to lead with gentleness.
