About Ross

The Lord was gracious to give me parents who believed in Christ and continually encouraged me to walk in His truth. Though they divorced when I was young, they each have always elevated Christ as our source of true life and hope. I professed belief in Christ at a young age and always remember having a belief in Jesus; however, it was not until late in college that I began to understand what submitting my life and following Jesus looked like. Up until that point, I lived life with the knowledge that the Bible was true and that faith in Jesus was the only way to salvation, but my daily submission and worship of Him was minimal.

Since 2005, the ministry of The Village Church and what is now Citizens Church has been instrumental in the progress and growth of my relationship with Jesus. I am eternally thankful for the way He has used these two places to elevate Himself in my life. It has been one of my life’s greatest blessings.

My wife, Emilee, and I are high school sweethearts, and have three children—Will, Caleb and Hannah—and are continuing to build our family through adoption. We were Home Group leaders for many years and have had the joy of being deeply involved in missions at Citizen’s Church.

My Hope for Citizens Church

My hope for our church community is that as we grow in maturity in Christ, we would grow in love for those around us, and that we would be deeply committed to God's saving mission in the world. I pray that His Spirit would fill us with the knowledge, maturity and love that compels us to seek the lost and hurting among us and around the world. I pray that God would grow us together as a community and He would send us to be a blessing to Plano, Collin County and the World.
