On the seventh day, after forming and filling all of creation, God rested. Yet in a world that celebrates busyness and productivity, we struggle to embrace God’s design for rest. We often find ourselves striving to prove our worth and seeking our identity in what we accomplish. But as God's image bearers, we were created not only to care for and cultivate His creation, but also to rest in and delight in all He has made. The answer to our restless hearts is found in the gospel of Jesus Christ. As we await His return, we can rest in the finished work He has already accomplished on our behalf.
